I’ve been reading a lot about using plastic containers in the kitchen and the potential harm from either storing food in the plastic or even worse, microwaving food inside the material. I was already aware that it was not a good idea to use any plastics in the microwave because the chemicals could get into the food, but I hadn’t really thought about what it meant to store my food in the fridge in plastic. I’m not really a big fan of the plastic containers anyway since they can start looking stained once you’ve used them a bit, so it was easy for me to make the switch to using glass instead. Pyrex glass bakeware has been around for ages. There’s probably not many kitchens that don’t have a piece or two of Pyrex in their kitchen and that’s because you can’t beat how handy the glass cookware is. You can cook or bake in it and store your food in it too. Plus it cleans up easily in the dishwasher and continues to look great even after years of use. It’s definitely my kind of kitchenware.
